Sam
Seller, Stroud Green
- 4 bedrooms
- 2 bathrooms
- terraced house
When Sam bought this Stroud Green terrace, it was a classic doer-upper and had everything going for it except for the dated interiors: good bones, period featured, a great street, leafy garden. Over seven months he stripped it back and rebuilt it to a standard you rarely see locally. He restored the original features, added a kitchen with poured concrete counters and chose every tap, tile and light fitting with real care. The finished house was exceptional.
Years later when it came to selling his brief to us was simple: he wanted the sale to reflect every penny and every decision he’d put into it. A house at this level can’t be sold on bedroom count alone, so we sold the design. Our in-house creative team shot it over a full day with an interiors photographer’s eye, focusing on the materials, the light and the craftsmanship that set it apart from the usual refurb. We wrote copy that credited the design choices and explained why they mattered. Before launch, we previewed it off-market to design-minded buyers on our database, then launched a campaign aimed at buyers who’d normally look to Highbury or Crouch End for a finish like this. We were involved from early on, advising Sam on layout and spec with resale in mind, so the house arrived on the market already built for its buyer.

I put a lot of love into it and spent years getting every detail right. Davies & Davies were the only agents who talked about the house the way I saw it. They knew exactly who it was for and found them fast. I’ll be bringing them the next one.
